We love making fun of Sam Seder and his incredibly boring show here at EndingPolitics.com. That's certainly no secret, but we just can't stop, because he continues to provide us with endless amounts of material to create content about.
For those that don't know, Sam Seder has claimed to be a comedian in Boston on a variety of occasions, even though no one, including us, can find any evidence of him ever doing standup comedy anywhere on the internet. And even if he has and there's just no existing video of any of it, he definitely hasn't made a real career out of it, because he certainly doesn't do any standup comedy routines now.
Because of his ambitions to become a comedian, he dropped out of law school and began doing his best to become funny, which he clearly was never able to do. In fact, from what we can tell, the only reason Sam Seder has been successful in entertainment at all was because of his friendship with real entertainers like H. Jon Benjamin, Sarah Silverman, and David Cross, all of whom were always far more famous and successful than he was. Because of his friendship with real successful comedians, he's been able to make a career for himself riding on their coattails (as well as being a leftist, and of course Hollywood always loves a leftist). For example, Jon Benjamin gave him a job on his hit Comedy Central cartoon, Bob's Burgers (but surprisingly or not surprisingly, wasn't ever able to land him an appearance on Dr. Katz Professional Therapist, on which Benjamin was a co-starred, presumably because Jonathan Katz, the show's creator, didn't think he was funny enough).
These days, Sam Seder's "comedy bits" primarily consist of pretending he's Thanos (pictured with the glove above) - supposedly to make fun of Tim Pool for claiming utilitarians are primarily the bad guys in comic book movies, to which Sam Seder claimed "[he] didn't care." Why is this funny enough to create an ongoing joke over? Well, we're not entirely sure, but we do know Sam Seder finds it hilarious, because he spent his money on a Thanos glove so he could take a selfie wearing it to put on his Twitter account. Those familiar with the situation are more likely to laugh at Sam Seder for thinking it's funny rather than laugh with him at his own unfunny joke, as evidenced by @dirtbagleft1's comment on his Twitter post, who apparently feels the same way we, and everyone else does.
Posted above is @dirtbagleftist1's Twitter comment on Seder's Thanos glove picture, which we think is way funnier than the picture itself!
We agree with @dirtbagleftist1. Sam Seder is incredibly unfunny, and when he makes his poor attempts to try to be funny, he fails miserably, and comes off as cringey at best, and pathetically annoying at worst.
On another note, we find it fascinating how Sam Seder hates comedian Jimmy Dore so much (whom he talks about more often on his show than we do Seder here at Ending Politics), who coincidentally has been able to build a successful standup comedy career using political source material. Unlike Sam Seder, Jimmy Dore does tour his standup comedy routines, which Sam Seder has always wanted to do, but has been painstakingly unsuccessful at. Ah, yes, it all makes sense now!
Sam, when you sit down and read this article, and we know you will, we recommend you go email the various websites with biographies about you (Wikipedia, Fandom, etc.) and tell them to remove the "comedian" descriptor from your introductory paragraphs. It just doesn't fit - and isn't true either.
One last note, Sam; we found it absolutely hilarious when we read in an article written about an interview that was conducted with you, that while watching the 2000 election coverage with your friend Janeane Garofalo, that you believed the GOP "stole the election" from Al Gore.
Stole the election. Hilarious, you fucking hypocrite, you!!!
