There is no difference between Democrats and Republicans. Some may call that a bold statement, but that’s really the only conclusion any logical person should draw. In fact, it’s certain that the duopoly in American politics has caused a lot more problems than it’s solved. Possibly the worst outcome of this political duopoly has been the creation of a large pool of mouth breathing dullards who vote only by looking at a ballot and making sure they fill in the right bubble with either “R” or “D” next to it, depending on which one they’ve been filling in their entire lives prior.
Unfortunately, because the political duopoly has created this pool of mouth breathing dullards (and there tend to be many more mouth breathing dullards that vote than highly intelligent people who condemn voting in the U.S.), the rest of the logical people in America get to choose between socialism and more socialism in every election. And of course, there are a few people like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who would prefer to live in the old United Socialist Soviet Republic than the United States, but they’re probably in the very small minority. But the rest of the mouth breathing dullards within the two party duopoly still want some degree of socialism whether they will admit it or not, including the Republicans.
Republicans have historically made more fiscally irresponsible decisions than responsible ones. The Republicans are usually the ones that are more responsible for the bloated military budgets and are probably more to blame than the democrats for the escalation of the War on Drugs, which has cost the American people trillions of dollars over the last four decades (and lest we forget all the murders and kidnappings committed by the Federal Government in the name of this failed drug war). These people who call themselves “fiscally conservative” are usually not fiscally conservative at all, and actually are usually far more socialist than they would care to admit. How can the Republican Party increase the military budget by 54 billion dollars - a 10% increase from the previous year bringing the total budget to 639 billion - not sufficiently cut spending from other sources, increase the national debt, and still call themselves “fiscally conservative” without shame? It’s socialism.
Of course, the democrats are even more to blame. Under the Obama regime, the national debt increased 9 trillion dollars, theoretically making his administration the most fiscally irresponsible administration in the history of the United States. Obama hypocritically focused his campaign in 2008 on bringing the troops home and ending some of the ridiculous wars our country was fighting in the Middle East, and naturally escalated the violence in the Middle East once he became the president. And, of course, Obamacare has been one of the biggest fiscal detriments to our economy in history.
So, what can we do to end the duopoly in American politics? Short of passing a law requiring a minimum IQ test score before filling out a voting ballot (which requires some degree of utopianism as well), there’s not much one can do in 2018. It’s difficult to get intelligent people to vote in 2018, because most intelligent people are able to figure out that voting is immoral. Most people aren’t sociopathic and don’t want to force their viewpoints upon other people coercively, so they instinctively don’t vote. Forming third parties has also proven to be a tremendous failure in American politics. Even political migrations such as the Free State Project in New Hampshire are proving to be inherently ineffective.
The American duopoly may not be stoppable, but Americans may still have a chance through changing government locally. In theory, even the smallest and most local governments could secede from larger governments around it. All this would require is enough people in a small area that have a true desire for freedom. This seems far more plausible.
